Mary Frances

Mary Frances Chaussinand, NP is the best pediatric ENT nurse practitioner in the land. Dr. Whitley’s trusty sidekick.

Experienced pediatric nurse practioner

Also known as, “Dr. Whitley’s Right-Hand Woman” around the office, Mary Frances is a Board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. A Georgia native, Mary Frances went to the University of Georgia where she graduated Magna Cum Laude as a double major with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.

During her time in Athens, she interned at a health clinic to explore her interests in the medical field and felt instantly driven to pursue a career as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner due to the unique approach to medicine with an emphasis on caring for patients holistically.

Education

Mary Frances obtained both a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on pediatric medicine from Emory University, where she graduated with a 4.0 and high honors. At Emory, she served as Class President and was awarded the Silver Bowl Award by the faculty, which is the most honorable achievement recognizing “Overall Excellence in Nursing.”

Upon graduating, Mary Frances began her career in Pediatric ENT, where she was personally trained by several pediatric otolaryngologists, including Dr. Whitley. She and Dr. Whitley developed a natural partnership, as they share a fundamental philosophy in providing family-centered pediatric ENT care with an emphasis on being conservative and preventative, all while maintaining a good sense of humor and fostering a positive environment to promote overall well-being.

focused on your child

Mary Frances and Dr. Whitley have worked together for over five years.  Unlike other practices, they work as a duo and often generate treatment plans together as they share a very similar treatment philosphy that focuses on a conservative approach. When further intervention is necessary, Mary Frances thoroughly enjoys guiding families through that process with a knowledgeable and empathetic viewpoint.

Mary Frances is married to her high school sweetheart, Stephen, and they have two mini Cavapoos, Fields and Ari. Outside the office, Mary Frances enjoys traveling and exploring, spending time with family and friends, expanding her Nike shoe collection, learning viral dance moves, and spoiling their dogs with new bowties and bows.

Mary Frances is a critical part of my practice. The truth is that I could not do this without her support and assistance.  In over a decade of practice, I have worked with numerous nurse practioners and physician assistants, but Mary Frances is hands-down the best.  Together, we form the tight-knit leadership for our team.  Like me, she shares a conservative and minimally invasive approach to pediatric ENT care.
